Help us celebrate the 16th Annual Oysters on Telfair!! On November 4, 2021, the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art will once again host its annual fundraiser, Oysters on Telfair. The evening event, now in its 16th year, will be held in the gardens of historic Ware’s Folly. Guests will enjoy delicious Cajun cuisine from Becks, a full bar, LIVE music by the Crosstie Walkers, fun raffle items, and a silent art auction of works from regional artists making Oysters on Telfair one of Augusta’s favorite fundraisers. We hope you will join us the evening of November 4.
In 2019, GHIA began extensive exterior renovations to historic Ware’s Folly however, before we could show off our success, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the Institute to close its doors in March 2020. After being closed for more than a year, we are eager to be with friends and celebrate successfully weathering this storm. Now more than ever, the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art needs your support. By purchasing tickets to this special event, you are ensuring we continue to bring quality visual arts programming to the greater Augusta area and allowing us to begin regaining what was lost after a difficult year of being closed.
We promise you a fun night of music, great food, and amazing art at what has become known as one of Augusta’s best fundraisers!
*Please note, due to the increase of COVID-19 cases we are asking all guests to wear a mask while inside of the building. The event is indoors and outdoors and a mask is not required outside or on the porch.
